Based on the mission of Northern Border University to achieve academic and institutional excellence, the General Department of Internal Audit plays a pivotal role in supporting the governance framework, enhancing performance efficiency, and reinforcing the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability. This contributes to achieving the university’s strategic objectives and elevating the quality of institutional performance.

The Department is committed to providing independent and objective internal auditing and advisory services, in accordance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) for internal auditing and best practices. This is achieved by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal control, risk management, and governance systems, thereby promoting the optimal utilization of resources and supporting sustainable performance and institutional excellence.
